This 45-min thematic exploration of the divine femininity and the womanhood spectrum through Bharatnatyam brings to the forefront the idea that femininity is a concept of cosmic balance and not a yardstick to evaluate women, for women cannot be defined. In a world where we get lost when it comes to understanding femininity, what it means to be a female and standing by feminism, this is a humble attempt to dissect and delve into a fresh perspective through the stories of our women from the pages of history, mythology, poetry and imagination.

Yet, in truth, both masculinity and femininity are universal traits that exist within every human, making us whole. A woman can embody masculine qualities like vigor, strength, and protectiveness, while a man can express feminine traits such as care, love, and nurturing. At the same time, their own feminine and masculine traits shall be celebrated and acknowledged as they are, without any prejudices. The delhi Tamil sangham event will be a captivating journey through five exquisite pieces, each celebrating a unique facet of this profound cosmic balance.

Kala Pravaha is a flagship event of Akshaya Arts Academy, conceptualised by Kalaimamani Guru Sri Binesh Mahadevan. A full traditional repertoire was performed which tests the skill, stamina and endurance of a dancer.
